The Zandloopers is a 2-man band (with occasional guests) who play live fully improvised, record riffs on the looper, and create layers on top, creating a trance-like jazzy atmosphere. Styles alternate from Blues to Jazz to Funk, adapting to the atmosphere of their surroundings.
The Zandloopers are perfect for events where you want to provide people with unique jazzy lounge music where conversations are still possible, company events, parties, weddings ….
The Zandloopers is a 2-man band that was established in the summer of 2019 in Prague.
Maarten is classically trained and finished the conservatorium in The Hague (Netherlands) for guitar, piano and sound engineering. He has been playing both solo and in different bands and styles since his teenage days. He’s also working as a music teacher for guitar and piano for both the theory and practical parts.
Heyme started his music career in Belgium. He has been schooled in Trumpet since age 12, picked up a saxophone and guitar at a later date, and was playing and touring with different bands, most famous Kiss My Jazz and Lionell Horrowitz and his combo. He has been released on 8 full CD’s, of which 2 solo CD’s, 5 singles and several compilations as a guest musician.
